Silicon Energy has announced that its Cascade PV Modules, manufactured in its new Minnesota plant, have been certified to Underwriters Laboratories UL 1703 standard by ETL certification testing labs – the final step for inclusion in the State's Made-in-Minnesota solar incentive program.

Silicon Energy's Cascade PV Modules are designed to withstand harsh weather, even Minnesota's winter.

These durable, locally manufactured PV modules feature a glass-on-glass construction and a mounting system that safely encloses the wiring and allows for a variety ofapplications, including awnings, windows, carports, patio covers, and bus shelters, as well as traditional roof installations.

Receiving ETL certification allows for PV modules manufactured in Minnesota to be eligible for the popular Made-in-Minnesota Solar Program, and ensures that each PV module has passed safety and power generation standards.

"Achieving ETL certification for our Minnesota facility was the final process for Silicon Energy as it expands its business to establish a new manufacturing plant in Minnesota and begins to sell to customers that desire to take advantage of this progressive incentive program that allows people to buy locally manufactured, high quality, durably made PV modules," said Gary Shaver, president, Silicon Energy.

"We're proud to begin manufacturing these PV systems in our new energy efficient Minnesota plant, allowing our customers to create their own sustainable, clean energy."
