Lavell To Acquire Skyport Global Communications
Reston VA (SPX) Jun 19, 2008 Lavell Systems has announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement to purchase SkyPort Global Communications located in Houston, TX. "Based on the ever-increasing demand for broadband, the growing sophistication of network applications and customer demand for a single communications provider, the integration business is now at the forefront of both growth and profitability - and so is Lavell," said Patrick Brant, President and CEO of Lavell. "SkyPort has a strong reputation of offering world-class service to the world's most discerning organizations. "This acquisition will serve as the foundation of our Enterprise business division and will allow us to deliver a greater range of services to customers, strongly positioning us for continued success." SkyPort, an industry leader in carrier-class satellite communications, whose recent successes include a contract with Cisco to provide satellite solutions to Cisco's Emergency Response Networks (ERN), has a solid reputation with the National Guard and commercial clients in the oil and gas sector. The transaction is subject to shareholder approval and targeted to close in July 2008. Related Links Lavell SkyPort VSAT News - Suppliers, Technology And Applications
