GMV Releases Hifly 6 Satellite Control System
Rockville MD (SPX) Aug 12, 2008 GMV has released version 6.0 of its popular hifly Satellite Control System. hifly 6.0, is the latest version of its 100 percent flight-proven communication satellite operation software that supports satellites built by manufacturers around the world from launch and early operation procedures (LEOP) to routine on-station operations of satellites. Current hifly users include some of the most notable companies in the industry including Eutelsat, SES Astra, SES New Skies, Hispasat, Arabsat, Nilesat and Star One. Highlights of the new hifly 6.0 release include: + Advanced, optimized telemetry processing for extremely high data rates and high reliability with additional telemetry checking capabilities + Java-based telemetry displays and graphical user interface upgrades + A secure web-client for remote viewing by operations personnel + Advanced operational procedures automation using python as the native language and including parsers for many existing procedure languages Based on the latest modern technologies, hifly 6.0 is the complete solution to satellite fleet operations, providing fully integrated, homogeneous multi-mission support for full fleets of satellites, as well as single satellites. hifly 6.0 uniquely supports many different satellite platforms and can be used in fleet management by multiple users at multiple sites. It is compliant with international standards such as CCSDS packet TM and TC compliance, and XTCE compliance. Available under Linux, hifly 6.0 is also compatible with a wide range of existing systems. GMV offers a down-sized, compact solution for small satellite fleets as well as a Solaris version. Users find hifly 6.0 is easy to operate and maintain. Its highly modular architecture with a very open API allows a certified user to carry out any operations through the API, which can be done from within the application.
