A new 10 mega joule medium-range multi-mission railgun from General Atomics Electromagnetic Systems has been assembled and is ready for testing, the company announced on Monday. The railgun, which provides multi-mission, multi-domain capability with greater flexibility for ship, land and mobile platforms will be put through its paces at Dugway Proving Ground in Utah, the company said.
