The first flight of the Preliminary Research Aerodynamic Design to Lower Drag, or Prandtl-D No. 3, completed a set of flight tests on Oct. 28. Flying from NASA's Armstrong Flight Research Center in Edwards, California, the remotely piloted aircraft gracefully glided following a bungee-like launch during a one minute, 33 second flight.
