Swiss solar plane makes history with round-the-clock flight Payerne, Switzerland (AFP) July 8, 2010 A solar powered aircraft made history Thursday after flying around the clock on the sun's energy alone, bringing the dream of perpetual flight a step closer. NASA To Fly Into Hurricane Research This Summer Pasadena CA (JPL) Jul 08, 2010 Three NASA aircraft will begin flights to study tropical cyclones on Aug. 15 during the agency's first major U.S.-based hurricane field campaign since 2001. The Genesis and Rapid Intensification Processes mission, or GRIP, will study the creation and rapid intensification of hurricanes.
