WISE Launch Rescheduled For December 14 Los Angeles CA (SPX) Dec 14, 2009 The launch of NASA's Wide-field Infrared Survey Explorer (WISE) mission is now rescheduled for Dec. 14, with a launch window of 6:09 to 6:23 a.m. PST (9:09 to 9:23 a.m. EST). The first launch attempt scheduled for Dec. 11 was delayed due to an anomaly in the motion of a booster steering engine.
